Unbelievably crappy trailer for “Star Wars” and a tasty Holiday Project
Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. As for the current scandal; I don’t know whether they were warranted in firing some of them or not, but either way Gonzalez has totally messed up handling the situation, contradicting himself constantly, now missing e-mails, and basically the disorganized out of control garabage you expect from the Bush team. So, per Newt Gingrinch and several other prominent Republicans, it’s time for Gonzy (or whatever stupid nickname the President calls him) to pack his bags back for Texas. Evan and Matt finished off a 2-6 vodka together in less than 1.5 hrs, Peter demolished 4 beers, and I finished off some 9% Russian beer then a 7.5% Belgium beer (very good btw).
Starting with a 9% beer was definitely not a good idea…
The next 4 or 5 hours or so was spent wondering around on the streets of Seattle drinking, wondering, taking pics, pretending to ditch each other…
We woke up the next day trying to remember what happened the previous night. Matt was able to look through his camera and found some VERY incriminating pics (i.e. 4 almost naked guys on a king size hotel bed errr I’ll leave the rest to your imagination!)

I never understood the argument concerning “inhumane slaughtering of animals.” If we can slaughter chickens, pigs, and cows then why not horses? I think the problem people have is with killing “cute” animals. In my opinion, that is hypocritical. You can either support or oppose the killing of all animals. No distinction can or should be made between slaughtering chickens, pigs and cute puppies. The way chickens or cows are slaughtered can hardly be called “humane.”

Here’s an interesting article exploring a peculiar phenomenon.
President Bush’s once-solid relationship with Southern women is on the rocks.
“I think history will show him to be the worst president since Ulysses S. Grant,” said Barbara Knight, a self-described Republican since birth and the mother of three. “He’s been an embarrassment.”
In the heart of Dixie, comparisons to Grant, a symbol of the Union, are the worst sort of insult, especially from a Macon woman who voted for Bush in 2000 but turned away in 2004.

ou may be thinking why I wouldn’t call, and the answer is simple. After a night of drinks, things don’t seem like such a great idea as the night before. I could probably call them, we go out, hook-up, etc…. but in the back of my mind I already know they are not my type, so why bother.
I have written critically before of ADR’s two-edged nature and encouraged my fellow ADR practitioners to consider with care their responsibility to the public and to our institutions of justice.
Of course we as a profession should ask ourselves these kind of questions. Does ADR undermine the rule of law? If justice is the end, is ADR the best means?
Fellow mediator Victoria Pynchon, who publishes Settle It Now Negotiation Blog, is inviting readers to complete a Survey on Justice that asks important questions about the complicated relationship among fairness, justice, and ADR processes:
Are we as mediators in the business of delivering justice or simply final resolution?
Do the attorneys and/or clients who use our services want us to be in the business of delivering justice (or enabling it?) when we help them resolve a dispute?
Vickie has already reported some preliminary results, including some fascinating findings on the qualities attorneys look for in mediators. It also looks as if by a narrow margin respondents would rather win in an unfair process than lose in a fair one. (Which may mean there’s little life left these days in the old maxim, “It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.”)

A little background info…
So this is my first post and I feel I should give you all a little background information on my situation first….
I am a 27 year old male living in the boston area. I have been with my girlfriend now for about 3 years, but unfortunately she moved to Chicago 4 months ago to pursue a law degree. This has left me with mixed emotions. One part of me is sad to see her go, and definately thinks the long-distance thing will work. The other part of me sees this as an opportunity of a lifetime, as I finally have my freedom back!
Some readers may or may not be able to relate to this, but after you are with someone for 3 years the age old question begins to pop in your mind…. Should I marry this girl? I know she is ready and eagerly waiting, but I am just not too sure if she is ‘the one’, and until I know, I don’t want to commit to it.

Sunday was spent in the Experience Music Project museum (very good) and wondering around some more.
Overall a really great roadtrip. We’ll definitely have to organize another one and get everyone to go. And maybe lay off those alcohol… (right!)
